Mixing and mingling with the leading thinkers in personalized medicine. Checking out the latest technologies. Reflecting on new paradigms and approaches to healthcare. If these sound like your cup of tea, then the Personalized Medicine World Conference (PMWC) is for you!
Now in its fourth year, the PMWC is coming back to Silicon Valley January 23-24th, 2012. While discounts on tickets are available if you buy early, you could also win the ultimate discount — free admission — simply by entering 23andMe’s PMWC Essay Contest.
The theme of the essay contest is simple: “Why do I want to go to PMWC?” Your answer to this question, stated in 1,000 words or less, could win you a ticket to the conference!
To enter the contest, you can post your entry in the 23andMe Community at this thread with the heading “Why I want to go to PMWC 2012.” There are no restrictions on form or content other than the 1,000 word limit and general community guidelines (e.g. no profanity). You can be as creative, personal, truthful, or expressive as you want.
Alternatively, you can send your entry via email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line “Why I want to go to PMWC.” If you’re not already a 23andMe customer, you can also send your entry to the email address above.
Entries will be accepted until December 15th, 2011 and the winner will be announced by December 31st, 2011. The top ten entries (judged by 23andMe staff) will all receive 23andMe t-shirts, and one lucky entry will be randomly drawn from those ten to receive a ticket to PMWC.

We look forward to reading your essays. Good luck!
