23andMe’s Daring CEO On CBS

If you haven’t seen it already, tune into CBS This Morning’s interview with 23andMe’s CEO and co-founder Anne Wojcicki. Most Daring CEO Sitting down with hosts Charlie Rose, Norah O’Donnell and Gayle King, Anne spoke about how taking the test changed her own life and her goals for 23andMe. Testing can offer people “a roadmap” for what they could do to potentially stay healthy. As more people test and with enough data, Anne said there is potential to change health care. Her goal is to for people to be empowered with information about their health so that they can be “healthy at 100.”   The goal of having all that information is to better predict health outcomes for people and personalize medicine. “A million people walking around with their genomes, I believe, is going to be disruptive to the health care system,” she said. Check out “the most daring CEO in America” in action.

    to 23andMe

Saw it. There is so much more to breast cancer than BRCA. CYP1A1, CYP1B1, CYP1A2, COMT V158M and COMT H62H. These people have trouble metabolizing caffeine and if you have trouble metabolizing caffeine, you will have trouble metabolizing the estrogen that comes along with it. This is so profound and never spoken about. Also Glyphosate found in Roundup with cause the CYP genes to express. Ironically I have met 14 women with active breast cancer that have done my program where I pull out raw data from 23andme and out of all of them only one had BRCA and 13 had all of the other genes stated above in different combinations. This is crucial.

Same with seeing that someone is genetically compromised with genes related to Parkinson’s. Well if they have COMT V158M met met and H62H homozygous with no VDR Bsm mutation and multiple upregulated DRD SNPs, they will not be more genetically predispositioned to Parkinson’s but most likely will be predispositioned to schizophrenia.

I can go on and on and on.

It is a wonderful job being done but we still need to crawl out of our boxes more.
